Monday lost and found: Little River Band 'You're Driving Me Out of My Mind'

Radio mostly seems to concentrate on the ‘70s hits of the Little River Band, but of their 13 American Top 40 hits, their success was pretty much split down the middle between the ‘70s and ‘80s.

In 1982, the Little River Band put out of their Greatest Hits package that marked the first appearance of John Farnham on lead vocals replacing Glenn Shorrock. In 1983, they released the album The Net, which included the uptempo You’re Driving Me Out of My Mind. The video is footage from a 1983 concert in Germany as no official video was filmed.

Today’s featured song was the last Top 40 hit for LRB and it peaked at No. 35. Farnham left LRB in 1986, but it had no negative effect on the singer as in April he was voted as the best Australian singer of all time by a panel of 100 Australian singer and musicians.

LRB recently played at the Hard Rock Café in Orlando and continues to perform and release music.
