Never Found in the '80s: Cocteau Twins

Continuing Return of Never Found Live Bonus Week has us once again being completely uncertain as to the lyrics of a song. And that's just the way Scotland's Cocteau Twins (Never Found profiled in May 2013) wanted it. The band was more about expressing feelings through sound, not necessarily through lyric.

Today's live track is ‘Wax and Wane' from their 1982 debut album ‘Garlands'.  The concert footage comes from a show in Amsterdam in 1983 and we can see how stripped down this band was: Just bass, guitar, and vocals with backing tapes to fill out the sound.

Cocteau Twins broke up in 1997 and they are still broke up today.
