Never Found in the '80s: Let's Active

Today's entry in the Return of Never Found Live Bonus Week features a little band out of North Carolina. The band is Let's Active (Never Found profiled in April 2013). This footage from late 1984 isn't from a concert; it's from rehearsals for an upcoming tour.

The song is ‘Blue Line' from their first full length album ‘Cypress' released in 1984. The opening chords sound an awful lot like REM's song ‘Kohoutek', which shouldn't be too surprising, because Mitch Easter (leader of Let's Active) produced some of REM's early efforts.

Let's Active broke up in 1990, but reunited for a cancer benefit in 2014. Sadly, original member Faye Hunter (the bass player in the video) was not there for the reunion. Hunter had committed suicide the year before at age 59.
