Never Found in the' 80s: Robyn Hitchcock & the Egyptians

And, finally, to bring Return of Never Found Live Bonus Week to a nice close let's look at Robyn Hitchcock & the Egyptians (Never Found profiled in April 2013). I have seen Robyn Hitchcock in concert several times, with the Egyptians, solo, or with his reunited first band The Soft Boys.

The brilliant English psychedelic rocker, Hitchcock, always delivered a very entertaining show. That should be evident in the concert footage from London's Marquee Club taken in 1985. Robyn and his Egyptians perform ‘Kingdom of Love', which is a Soft Boys song from the fantastic ‘Underwater Moonlight' (1980).

What the video doesn't show is Robyn's between songs story-telling. That's a shame, because he weaves wonderfully amusing tales. What the video does show is Robyn having a bit of fun by acting strangely on a public street. The little elderly lady who stops to watch is awesome!

If you get a chance to see Robyn Hitchcock play live, jump at it!
