Olivia Newton-John brings back 'Summer Nights' for Las Vegas residency
Olivia Newton-John is the latest superstar to make Las Vegas home for a series of shows. Olivia just announced she'll headline 45 shows at the Flamingo beginning April 8. The series is called Summer Nights. Excellent.
Promoters promise she'll revive all her Grease hits, says People magazine, but we're hoping for a good selection from the '80s as well. Hell, the Xanadu soundtrack alone is worth the price of a ticket. ("Suddenly, the wheels are in motion....") Tickets for her shows go on sale Friday and start at $69. Danny Zucco, you get in free.
For my tastes, it's hard to beat this amazing tune -- Twist of Fate -- from a movie that just wasn't as good as it should have been.
