Still in Hollywood (but never in the charts), we still love this Concrete Blonde tune

Every year, they come by the thousands - the actors/actresses/models/musicians who come to California with the dream of stardom. With all the influx of those coming to Hollywood, it may surprise you that there are some that seek to escape Hollywood like Concrete Blonde and Still In Hollywood.

This is the third appearance for Concrete Blonde on Lost and Found with their first two appearances (God Is A Bullet and Happy Birthday) concentrating on their 1989 Free album. Today we go back to 1987 for their self-titled debut album and the grimy Still In Hollywood. Filmed in black and white, the video for Still In Hollywood follows Concrete Blonde on the dirty streets of Hollywood to the dive bars and the tattoo parlors in a high octane rocker.

Still In Hollywood did not chart, however it was featured in the 1987 sci-fi/horror movie The Hidden starring Kyle MacLachlan. A native of Hollywood, Concrete Blonde leader Johnette Napolitano now longer resides in Hollywood but lives over two hours east in Joshua Tree where she works as an artist and rescues horses. She also hasn't given up on music and in 2015 released a solo album entitled The Naked Album.
