'Three's Company' as a full-length movie?!? I'm not knocking on that door

Three’s Company as a feature film? Oh, Hollywood, you’ve spent too much time at the Regal Beagle!

The Hollywood Reporter says New Line Cinema is negotiating to pick up the rights to Three’s Company, the quirky sit-com that ran on TV from 1977 to 1984 and made a star out of John Ritter.

According to THR, Robert Cort (Cocktail, Runaway Bride) will produce.

Ritter won an Emmy playing Jack Tripper, one of three single roommates sharing a Santa Monica apartment. Joyce  and Suzanne Somers co-starred along with Norman Fell,  Audra Lindley and Richard Kline.

Hollywood continues to dip in to the TV shows of the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s for inspiration these days. Also coming soon: a big-screen remake of Baywatch starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
