You can buy Cameron's house from 'Ferris Bueller' at a sweet discount
Do you have $1.5 million to lend Stuck in the '80s? If so, then Ferris Bueller, you're my hero. I'm going to use it to buy Cameron's house from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, which just saw its asking price fall from $2.3 million. Time to call my realtor, Mr. Peterson.
AVClub.com says the Highland Park, Ill., home was taken off the market in 2011 for failing to meet the owner's original asking price. It had been for sale since 2009. Why the stubborn market? Because for all of its role in movie history, the home only has four bedrooms and four baths. And all us crazy Ferris fans showing up on the doorstep isn't helping.
But hey, when I own it, you're ALL welcome to visit. Just bring some fried pancreas and an air mattress.
