You'd be insane not to give Ace Frehley his due
With the incredible fame that Kiss realized in the '70s, is it any wonder some of the members had their struggles? While money, fame and substance abuse seems to come with rock n roll, Ace Frehley gives his self aware perspective on the trappings of rock 'n' roll with the lost song Insane.
While Ace Frehley's substance abuse problems and musical stubbornness led to session players playing on many Kiss albums in the late '70s and early '80s, that does not mean that Frehley is a bad guitar player. In fact, he is outstanding and in the late '80s he showed his licks with Insane.
In 1988, Frehley's Comet released Second Sighting and the album continued the downward sales of Frehley's solo material. The video for Insane is an eyeful with nurses in skimpy white uniforms and garters strutting to the background of Ace singing unapologetically about being a walking disaster and being affected by the money and fame.
Ace continues to tour this year in support of his recently released Origins Volume One album.
