Photo gallery: Two squabbling bald eagles get into a tangle in Dunedin

An immature bald eagle and an adult female squabbled with locked talons in a territorial battle that started over Dunedin Tuesday afternoon and wound up in a field next to a salon whose workers called a local Audubon bird rescue number when the birds stayed stuck together on the ground. Barb Walker and Nancy Murrah from Tampa Bay Bird Rescue came to rescue the two. The birds separated themselves when Murrah and Walker tried to catch them and the immature one managed to fly away. Murrah caught the other one, which couldn't fly, and that bird will be taken to Audubon's Bird of Prey Center in Maitland Fl. for medical care. Eagle watchers are concerned the female is from a nearby nest and hope she will be okay for breeding season, which begins in the middle of October.
