Absentees sent in Pinellas

Pinellas County SOE Deb Clark, who faces Democrat Jack Killingsworth this cycle, mailed out 55,000 ballots Thursday to residents who requested to vote by mail. More than 2,400 ballots were sent to military and overseas voters on Monday. Clark, who argues that setting up early voting sites is expensive and does not increase turnout, has been pushing the use of mail ballots as a sensible alternative.
