Progress Energy's $17b nuke project approved

Progress Energy won approval Tuesday morning for its $17-billion nuclear project, paving the way to start charging customers for the plant as early as January. The St. Petersburg utility said in March that residential customers could see an increase of $9 a month, but it's unclear if that number has changed because Progress Energy has redacted it from recent filings before state regulators.
