U.S. Senator Bill Nelson reaches out to local elected officials

ST. PETERSBURG-- U.S. Senator Bill Nelson invited local elected officials this week to meet with him.

The lunch meeting will be held April 7 at St. Petersburg College's downtown campus.

"Senator Nelson is asking for mayors, commissioners and council members to attend this worthwhile event," according to the invitation.

Nelson's staff said he will likely discuss the stimulus package, the federal budget and local issues.
