Fasano endorses Corcoran in House race

No big surprise, but State Sen. Mike Fasano today endorsed Republican lawyer Richard Corcoran in his bid for Pasco/Pinellas House District 45.

“Richard has the experience, knowledge, and character to effectively represent our area in the Florida Legislature. In his entire career, Richard has stood on principle and with the taxpayers, never the special interests,” Fasano, a New Port Richey Republican, said in a statement.

Corcoran, 44, of Trinity, is a contracted attorney for Pasco Sheriff Bob White and had a short stint advising former House Speaker Marco Rubio.

Other Republicans in the race include current Pasco School Board member Kathryn Starkey and Fabian Calvo, a Clearwater businessman and local talk radio host.
