August ripe with mayoral forums

ST. PETERSBURG- Still don't know who you are voting for?

A series of mayoral forums are scheduled in August.

Next week, City Hall hosts a 7 p.m. forum Thursday, the first mayoral forum to be televised on the city's channel. There is also a City Council candidate forum Tuesday at 7 p.m. The League of Women Voters will organize both events.

The NAACP hosts a forum August 10 at the Hospice Center at 3050 1st Av S at 6 p.m.

The candidates have been invited to a forum August 11 organized by the Disston Heights Civic Association. The event will be held at the St. Petersburg Community Church at 4501 30th Avenue N at 7 p.m.

The candidates are scheduled to attend a forum at the Shore Acres Recreation Center at 6:30 p.m. at 4230 Shore Acres Blvd NE on August 17.

On Aug. 18, the Wildwood Heights Neighborhood Association is hosting a forum about Midtown at 6 p.m. at the Wildwood Recreation Center at 1000 28th Street S. Residents can meet with the candidates at 5:30.

The St. Petersburg Times and Bay News 9 will host a forum August 19 at the Palladium Theater at 5th Avenue N at 7 p.m.
