ST. PETERSBURG - The Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections is scheduled to begin mailing more than 58,000 ballots on Wednesday and Thursday for the September primary.

How it breaks down:

One hundred sixty-nine ballots will be sent to overseas military voters, 390 to overseas civilians, 833 to domestic military and 57,046 will be sent to domestic civilians.

If you are one of these voters, brace yourself.

St. Petersburg mayoral hopefuls Jamie Bennett, Kathleen Ford, Scott Wagman, Deveron Gibbons, Larry Williams and Bill Foster have requested the names of those voters. The Pinellas County Democratic Executive Committee and City Council candidates Leslie Curran, a candidate in District 4, and Joseph Smith, a candidate in District 5, will also get a copy of the list.

 You and I, however, are not privy to such information.

"I cannot provide you with a list of people who have requested absentee ballots because by law [Florida Statute 101.62(3)] this information can only be provided to election officials, qualified candidates with opposition, political party officials, and others listed in the statute," wrote Nancy Whitlock, elections spokeswoman, in an e-mail to the St. Petersburg Times today. "We must have a notarized oath of acquisition on file from these people in order for them to receive the information."
