City Council member Wengay Newton campaigns for Scott Wagman
ST. PETERSBURG-- Wengay Newton is the only City Council member to have endorsed a candidate for mayor.
Here's the e-mail he sent out Friday on behalf of mayoral hopeful Scott Wagman:
Hello Neighbor,
My name is Wengay "Newt" Newton, City of St. Petersburg Councilmember District 7 and I endorse Scott Wagman for Mayor of St. Petersburg.
I was born and raised in St. Petersburg the city that I love, and it is a pleasure to serve.Public Trust is not a right, it is a privilege. I have Goggled all the Mayoral candidates and Scott Wagman is the only one that I can say is not a Politician.
Scott Wagman is the man that can move this city forward and truly make it whole. Scott Wagman has the Compassion, Business Expertise and Proven Leadership that our city needs, "He's the Right Man at the Right Time".
