Mayor Rick Baker really wants Carl Kuttler's job
ST. PETERSBURG -- Mayor Rick Baker said Wednesday he hopes he will eventually be named the new president of St. Petersburg College.
Baker said it's the only job he is interested in and he doesn't have a plan B.
If he doesn't get the SPC job, he'll join the ranks of the unemployed when a new mayor is sworn in January.
Carl Kuttler, 69, announced he was resigning in July after 31 years as St. Petersburg College president.
He has said Baker would make a good replacement
A new college leader will likely be named by spring.
