Minkoff leaves housing authority for Triolo to take over

New Circuit Court Judge Tom Minkoff has resigned from the Pinellas County Housing Authority because of his appointment by Gov. Charlie Crist. On Wednesday, member Joe Triolo was named chairman in Minkoff's place.

Triolo is a a housing and community development rehabilitation officer with the city of St. Petersburg.

Minkoff's opening will be filled by Crist.

His exit removes the main critic of former county housing authority chief Darrell Irions, who split this spring in a disagreement with board over his handling of the agency. The spat also unraveled the joint work by the county agency and St. Petersburg Housing Authority.
