Bill Foster to go to church before he is sworn in

ST. PETERSBURG -- Mayor-Elect Bill Foster and members of the City Council will attend a special worship service at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Greater Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church at 1045 16th St. S.

Then at noon, Foster, whose conservative Christian beliefs were the subject of debate during the mayoral election, will be sworn in along with new council member Steve Kornell, the city's first openly gay elected official, at City Hall.
