County Commission votes to sue White over sex-discrimination suit costs

Hillsborough County commissioners voted Thursday to sue colleague Kevin White Thursday in an attempt to recoup some of the $425,000 in legal costs stemming from the sexual discrimination verdict against him last year.

The vote was 6-1, with White casting the lone dissenting vote. He told the other board members that he doesn't have the money.

"You can't get blood from a turnip," he said.
