Angela Rouson picks up county endorsements in District 5 race
ST. PETERSBURG -- District 5 candidate Angela Rouson has been endorsed by Pinellas County Commissioners John Morroni and Ken Welch.
Rouson, a Pinellas County Housing Authority commissioner, faces Steve Kornell, a social worker, and Joe Smith, a retired police officer, in the September primary.

Commissioner Morroni said the following:
"Angela Rouson has the courage to speak the truth on the most important issues, such as how to fight crime. She will work to give law enforcement the tools they need to do their jobs. St. Petersburg will be a better place because of Angela Rouson."
Commissioner Welch said the following:
"In this important election, I am proudly supporting Angela Rouson for City Council, District 5. I have personally witnessed Angela's leadership, professionalism and compassion, as we worked jointly to bring local and federal housing organizations together for the Pinellas County Housing Summit.
The city and county must work more efficiently and cooperatively to engage the many challenges before us. I look forward to partnering with Angela as the next District 5 Council member."
