Bean vision plan for Hillsborough County government delayed again
You may recall that Hillsborough County Administrator Pat Bean has been under the gun from commissioners to present her vision for how county government will operate during her final two years on the job. (Bean has entered the state's mandatory retirement program)
Commissioners initially asked Bean to present her plan by Jan. 22, after giving her a less than stellar evaluation in December following a flap over pay raises she handed out. The plan is supposed to be formulated after she consults with commissioners individually.
Well, illness kept Bean out of work and from meeting with commissioners, so she asked that the initial deadline be pushed back to next week's commission meeting. Now an advance copy of the Wednesday agenda indicates she will merely update commissioners on her progress, rather than present a plan.
