Bob Buckhorn enters Tampa mayor's race
Public affairs consultant Bob Buckhorn today announced he'll run for mayor of Tampa in March 2011. Buckhorn is the third to enter the race. City Council chairman Tom Scott announced his run a year ago, and former police captain Marion Lewis has also filed. In his first official campaign remarks, Buckhorn said the first priority of the next mayor will be the economy, and he pledged to make sure city permitting and other regulations foster rather than hinder new development and entrepreneurship.
