Brown-Waite: Stop the presses!
U.S. Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite is still getting flak for her bank investments amid the bailout legislation in 2008. She earned Buzz's Loser of the week title and received this scathing editorial from the opinion writers at the Times.
But she fought back on a different front last weekend, calling for the Times to cease printing a newspaper.
The suggestion is tucked at the end of a July 4 letter to the editor in which she blasted the Times opinion writers for supporting the Democrat-written climate bill that recently passed the House. (Scroll halfway down the page to find her letter.)
"Forests have been felled to print crossword puzzles and Sunday comics," she writes. "Countless barrels of foreign oil have been guzzled to transport this energy hog to your door."
