Check the date: a perfect day to talk about Kenneth City mayor

Zemaitis KENNETH CITY - Perhaps it's to be expected from a town known for duck wars, neatness ordinances and a mayor who can't be mayor.
Could there be a better day than April Fool's to decide the fate of Mayor-elect Teresa Zemaitis?
Yep. The council is scheduled to meet tonight to mull several possible ways to see if they can seat Zemaitis (left), who was elected with 70.5 percent of the vote, but who is banned from serving by the town charter because she's a public employee - that is, a schoolteacher at Dixie Hollins High School.
Zemaitis lost in the lower court but she plans to appeal the ruling that the ordinance is constitutional unless a way can be found to seat her.
And, who's heading up the drive to find a solution? Vice Mayor Wanda Dudley, who just happens to be - a public schoolteacher.
