Cocktail party toasts Rick Baker's new gig



ST. PETERSBURG -- Not only did former Mayor Rick Baker land a $225,000 job at the University of South Florida, he's getting a cocktail reception cheering his employment.

On Sept. 29, Progress Energy Florida, the Trenham Kemker law firm and Gregory Sharer & Stuart, an accounting and business consulting firm, will fete Baker and his new job as the director of the University of South Florida's Innovation Partnership.

The reception will be held at the Progress Energy Center for the Arts at 400 First St. S. WUSF Morning Edition host Carson Cooper will serve as emcee.
