Conservative group backs Bill Foster in St. Petersburg mayoral race
ST. PETERSBURG- Mayoral hopeful Bill Foster picked up an endorsement from the Pinellas Patriots today, a conservative group inspired by political commentator Glenn Beck.
The group interviewed candidates Foster, Kathleen Ford, Deveron Gibbons and Larry Williams recently.
"In the end, we concluded that Bill Foster best represents the 9-12 philosophy of limited government, fiscal responsibility and self-reliance," said Barbara Haselden, a group spokeswoman. "With this endorsement representatives from our membership will be meeting with Mr. Foster and his staff to offer our assistance on his campaign."
