Corcoran raises about $50K more in House race
House District 45 candidate Richard Corcoran pulled in about $50,000 more in contributions this quarter, bringing his total to nearly $98,000.
Corcoran’s report became available Thursday. Reports are due Tuesday, and those for his fellow Republicans – Pasco School Board member Kathryn Starkey and Clearwater businessman Fabian Calvo – were not yet available Thursday.
Corcoran and Starkey have been running neck and neck in fundraising, making the race a closely watched one. During the first and second reporting quarters, Starkey raised about $52,000. Corcoran, who started fundraising in the second quarter, pulled in just under $50,000.
The candidates are battling it out among donors for a primary that isn’t until August. They are seeking to replace Rep. Tom Anderson of Dunedin, who is stepping down due to term limits. House District 45 covers parts of both Pasco and Pinellas counties.
