Here's the press release:

St. Petersburg, Florida—The Kennedy Campaign is pleased to announce the endorsement of three prominent south St. Petersburg leaders—restaurateur Mike Atwater, former city council member Earnest Williams, and current city council member Jamie Bennett.

Micheal Atwater was enthusiastic in his support as he stated that he supported Jim because of his, "long history of involvement in the city of St. Petersburg including his history of service in the Community Alliance, CASA, and the Community Law Program. I support Jim because he has the knowledge and temperament to serve the entire community."

Former council member Williams added that Council Member Kennedy "knows the nuances of city government and his experience as Chair of the Budget Finance Committee will be a huge help as we move St. Petersburg forward through uncertain economic times."

Council Member Jim Kennedy was grateful for the support, "I appreciate the endorsements of such outstanding community leaders. I am humbled by their support and know that together we can move the vision of a better St. Petersburg forward in the years to come."

These endorsements add to a growing list, which include Mayor Rick Baker, Florida State House Representative Rick Kriseman, and the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce PAC.
