Cox raises most in Pasco
From today's Pasco Times:
Last quarter's fundraising results are in, and Commissioner Michael Cox raked in far more any other candidate, pulling in another $39,310 between Jan. 1 and March 31.
His total take since last July is $73,435, of which he has spent about $4,640. Donors include heavy hitters in the local land use community as well as lawyers, Realtors and garbage haulers. Cox, a Democrat, faces a challenge for his seat from Republican Henry Wilson Jr., a health care administrator from Trinity. Wilson raised $1,625, for a total of $3,400.
Commission Chairwoman Pat Mulieri, who is running for re-election, has raised $18,750 since March 8, the day she filed to run. Ken Littlefield, a former state legislator who is running against Mulieri in the Republican primary, loaned himself $8,000 last quarter, which he adds to the $1,000 personal loan from the previous quarter. Independent candidate Kathleen Spencer filed last week to run for Mulieri's seat.
