Former Pinellas Sheriff Everett Rice has announced two fundraisers scheduled for next week in his bid to return to the office he held for 16 years:

• 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at IRB Sushi, 416 First St., Indian Rocks Beach (next to Crabby Bills). The event, which will include a seafood and sushi buffet and an open bar, is hosted by Crabby Bill Loder, Valerie Loder, Jim Holton, Matthew and Maria Loder, Paul and Eleanor Jenkins, James and Eva Staack, John Loder and Debra Faust, Jon and Traci K. Stevenson, Craig Plath, Tim Diego, Derek Keys and Dr. Karen Forsythe Monroe and Steve Spencer. Event is in memory of George Loder Jr. and Dolores White.
• 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Earthscapes Garden Room, 816 Alt. 19, Palm Harbor. The event is hosted by Earthscapes’ owner Mike Van Coulter and is sponsored by Thirsty Marlin, Cycle Springs PowerSports, Dorado Boats, Palm Harbor House of Beer and Dunedin House of Beer.
