If one-time state Senate candidate Jim Norman gets returned to the ballot, maybe Rob Wallace can try his hand at a "Schoolhouse Rock" revival.

Wallace, a former state House representative and environmental engineer, is the pick of local Republican party leaders to replace Norman on the general election ballot. Norman was tossed off the ballot after winning the primary over state Rep. Kevin Ambler. A state circuit judge found Norman failed to list a $435,000 house in Arkansas on a state-required disclosure form. Courtroom testimony showed that the purchase was made possible because of a $500,000 gift from late conservative activist Ralph Hughes to Norman's wife.

Oral arguments in Norman's appeal were heard Tuesday morning.
