Florida League of Cities appoints Tom Barnhorn to board of directors
Barnhorn will serve until August 2011.
Barnhorn, a financial adviser with Edward Jones Investments, was first elected to the Seminole council in 2006. He served as vice mayor from 2008 to 2009.
The League was founded in 1922 and established to meet and serve the needs of municipal officials throughout the state. Among its primary functions is to develop a municipal legislative platform and lobby the state Legislature and Congress on a variety of issues important to Florida city government. The 54-member board makes policy and oversees the League’s operations.
