Industry lawyer: 'All options' being reviewed to fight Pinellas
Lawn care company attorney Dan Gerber said Wednesday afternoon that legal options are still being considered to challenge the Pinellas County Commission's summer ban on fertilizer -- the toughest in the state.
The commission passed the summertime ban late Tuesday to combat pollution in Pinellas waters, though Gerber and industry groups say the decision wasn't supported by science. Only Commissioner Nancy Bostock, the lone no vote, agreed.
"We have to consider all options; this is an issue of jobs and prosperity for hundreds of people," said Gerber, an Orlando lawyer who represents TruGreen.
