Jamie Bennett fixes his finance reports. Again.
ST. PETERSBURG -- City Council member and mayoral hopeful Jamie Bennett submitted his third amended campaign treasurer's report this week.
Bennett changed his latest report to reflect that he paid former campaign manager Peter Schorsch $1,000 from April through June. Bennett initially claimed he paid the $1,000 to PS Creative, Schorsch's inactive consulting company.
Bennett's first report had multiple errors. He amended that report twice.
Former council member Kathleen Ford is the only other mayoral candidate who has filed an amended report.
Meanwhile, it appears Bennett will likely be cleared on at least one elections complaint filed against him last week.
St. Petersburg resident James Donelon claimed that Bennett accepted in-kind donations in excess of the state's $500 limit. Bennett gave his campaign roughly $1,500 in in-kind donations.
There is no limit on the amount candidates give themselves, including in-kind donations, Jennifer Davis, a spokeswoman for the Florida Division of Elections, said Tuesday.
