Jeb Bush endorses Richard Corcoran in House race
Former Gov. Jeb Bush announced today he is endorsing Richard Corcoran in the GOP primary for state House seat from District 45.
"Republicans in District 45 are fortunate to have a candidate with Richard Corcoran's solid credentials. Richard is a hard-working conservative leader who believes as I do in the principles of limited government, lower taxes, personal freedom and individual responsibility. He will fight for Florida's economy, an improved education system and traditional values," Bush said in a statement.
Bush is the second former governor to endorse in the closely watched state House 45 race, which represents parts of Pasco and Pinellas counties.
Kathryn Starkey, Corcoran's opponent, picked up the endorsement of Bob Martinez.
A third Republican, Fabian Calvo of Clearwater, is also in the House race.
Corcoran and Starkey have been firing off their various endorsements over the last year. For more read here, http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/in-house-45-race-corcoran-and-starkey-both-trumpet-police-endorsements/1108993
