John Dingfelder joins ACLU legal staff
Former Tampa City Council member John Dingfelder has joined the legal staff of the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida. A Tampa native who served two terms on the council, Dingfelder will work on religious freedom and other civil liberties issues in the ACLU's Tampa office, the organization said. A graduate of the University of Florida College of Law, Dingfelder left the City Council in 2010 to run for the Hillsborough County Commission. He returned to the private practice of law after losing that race.
