Travel consultant Julie Jenkins has filed to run for the District 4 Tampa City Council seat in 2011. John Dingfelder, who is running for Hillsborough County Commission, holds the seat that represents South Tampa. Jenkins took her first shot at public office in 2007, when she ran for the citywide District 1 post. Gwen Miller ultimately won the position in a run-off against Joe Redner. Jenkins is holding her campaign kick-off Jan. 14 at 6 p.m. at the Tahitian Inn on S Dale Mabry.
