Kenneth City's Dudley and Carrier - Fellow Travelers?

Considering the recent tensions in Kenneth City, it was kind of surprising to see council member Al Carrier and Vice Mayor Wanda Dudley arrive in the same car for today's monthly luncheon meeting of the mayors council. After all, Carrier, the remaining member of the old guard on the council, cast the lone vote against Dudley's becoming vice mayor. And Dudley is determined to see Mayor-elect Teresa Zemaitis take her seat as soon as possible. Carrier not only campaigned for Zemaitis' opponent, incumbent Muriel Whitman, he also voted to sue Zemaitis to keep her out of the position she won with 70.5 percent of the vote

Surely, Carrier and Dudley did not talk about town business outside of the sunshine while traveling to and from Antonio's Restaurant on Ulmerton Road. And we're certain they didn't talk about the situation with Zemaitis - neither one had any scratches or bruises.
