Kevin Ambler, Jim Norman face another write-in for state Senate race
Another write-in candidate has joined the increasingly crowded race to represent Florida Senate District 12.
Kimberly Renspie of Carrollwood Village submitted her papers Friday, listing assets of $2,500. She works as a college admissions counselor and resident adviser at Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C., according to the papers, which list her as a nonpartisan. Judging by her Facebook page, she will still be a student at Catawba until she graduates in 2012, and her favorite movie is Elf.
Derek Crabb, an employee of Target and Petco, announced his write-in candidacy last week.
Two better-known Republicans have long been in the running: State Representative Kevin Ambler and County Commission member Jim Norman.
