Kevin White makes worst bosses in America list
Former Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin White earned another dubious distinction Tuesday. An outfit called eBoss Watch, which seeks to help people avoid potentially hostile workplaces, named White one of its 100 worst bosses in the country. White was named 50th on the list. eBoss Watch cites a 2009 federal civil jury's finding that White sexually harassed a one-time aide, as well as his federal conviction last month on seven criminal counts, including bribery, wire fraud and lying to law enforcement. White is awaiting sentencing on the criminal counts and his sexual harassment case cost the county more than $400,000 in legal fees and a $75,000 damage award to former aide Alyssa Ogden. The list from eBoss Watch includes public figures and those in business it says have cost their employers collectively $145 million to date. The perhaps best known name on the list is former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky (18), accused of molesting young boys for years.
