SEMINOLE -- Larry Ahern, who is running for state House District 51, came to the Seminole Council meeting last week to introduce himself and get some free face time on the city’s television channel. “I’m not really a politician. I’m a businessman, a father, a husband and a friend to this community.  I have deep roots here. Why am I running? Well, two reasons, really. My children, and you and your children, the citizens of this community,“ Ahern said. “I’m a conservative Republican, who, well, lives my life by traditional family values and principles. I think the kind that have made this country what it is. The ones that put God and family first in the center of our lives, and the ones that hold us personally responsible for our own outcomes and make us responsible for living within our means.”
