Latimer to be sworn in as Hillsborough elections supervisor
Democrat Craig Latimer officially takes over as elections chief in Hillsborough County during an investiture ceremony today. The swearing in is at 3 p.m. at the George Edgecomb Courthouse in downtown Tampa.
Bob Henriquez, the former Democratic state legislator taking over as property appraiser, will have his swearing in at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Same place, in courtroom one on the sixth floor.
Latimer is taking over for his old boss, Earl Lennard, who is retiring. Henriquez is replacing Rob Turner, who was defeated in the Republican primary by former state Sen. Ronda Storms after acknowledging he repeatedly sent porn to a subordinate whom he once dated.
