Less = more for Pinellas Democrats?
Pinellas County Democratic Party leaders want to encourage more enthusiasm among the rank and file folks. They just don't want to have to see them as much.
Party leaders want members to approve a bylaw change to their rules to require only four meetings a year. The vote will be at the monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Tucson's Southwest Grill.
But county chairman Ramsay McLauchlan is taking pains to let people know this isn't about spending less time together with precinct leaders, it's about squaring local rules for monthly meetings with the state party's latest rules.
And it gives the party some flexibility to take time off, such as during the expected lull this summer.
