Libertarian says he'll challenge Rep. Bill Young
A libertarian candidate says he'll challenge Rep. C.W. Bill Young, and takes a few shots at the long-serving Pinellas County Republican.
A news release touting Michael Hull notes Young's age (80), says his primary residence is in Virginia, and asserts that Young has been "considerably more reclusive and inaccessible to his constituents in recent years."
"Hull is no stranger to a good fight. He’s a retired professional boxer, a former semi-pro hockey player, and an Air Force veteran, where he served honorably as a Farsi linguist," boasts the news release, issued by the Libertarian Party of Florida. "And Hull is not all brawn, either. He speaks five languages and has a degree in International Studies and Political Science from Baylor University."
Young told the Buzz last week that he's already raising money, suggesting he'll seek a 22nd term.
