State Rep. Janet Long, R-Seminole, and Connor Davis, regional coordinator for Organizing for America, the Obama grassroots political arm, will speak at the Largo/Mid-Pinellas Democratic club meeting at 7 p.m. Aug. 16 at 301 Crestwood Lane, Largo.

Long will talk about her reelection bid and Davis will speak about 2010 campaign activities by OFA in Pinellas. Both are expected to answer questions from the audience.

Long faces Republican Larry Ahern in the Nov. 2 election, which also includes Orlando Tea Party candidate Victoria Torres.
