Nehr adds to fundraising lead in House race
If challenger Marg Baker getting the "Worst Person in the World" treatment on MSNBC didn't do it, then Rep. Peter Nehr, R-Tarpon Springs, probably added the additional leverage to win his Tuesday primary with another dose of fundraising.
In a race where he's the favorite, Nehr raised $16,500, plus got $5,200 worth of in-kind consulting from the Republican Party of Florida, for the past three weeks, according to reports due today. He's raised $127,000 overall.
Baker reported receiving $490, and $4,100 overall. Steve Mueller, the third Republican in the race, has yet to report, and neither has Democrat Tom McKone, who is unopposed in the Pinellas-Pasco district.
