Neil Brickfield, the unauthorized biography

PINELLAS COUNTY -- It definitely isn't the Web site that Pinellas County Commissioner Neil Brickfield would have designed.

But Largo businessman Tom Rask has put up to document his differences with how Brickfield does business. And, according to the site, get Brickfield voted out of office in 2012 -- "or sooner if possible."

Consider this statement on the site: "Neil Brickfield is a RINO - Republican In Name Only."

"We clearly disagree on some things," said Brickfield, though he said he and Rask had a pleasant meeting  to discuss their political views at Crabby Bill's in Indian Rocks Beach.

Rask, 45, said he wants to press the County Commission to make better decisions and take a deeper look at decisions during public meetings. He doesn't want them to draw blood during debate, but at least discuss issues more in public. Disagreement seems to be discouraged at the county, he said.

However, he did laud Brickfield for voting against the county budget this week.

Rask, a Seminole resident who runs a web-related company Logical Sites, said he has no plans to run for office. He has pushed for supporting off-shore drilling.

And watch out Commissioner John Morroni and Karen Seel. Rask has reserved and, too.
