Patricia Johnson leads in raising money for Pinellas Park council race

PINELLAS PARK -- Patricia Johnson is outdistancing Eddie Kosinski when it comes to fundraising in the race for the open seat on this city's council.

Johnson, 66, has raised a total of $3,400 for her campaign, according to the latest campaign finance reports. Kosinski, 64, has raised $1,025.

Johnson and her husband, Del, have loaned the campaign a total of $2,000 so far, but she also has contributions from some notable sources. Pinellas Park council member Rick Butler and state Sen. Jack Latvala, R-Clearwater, each donated $100. Attorney Tom Tripp, who once represented the Pinellas Park Water Management District, donated $500.

Kosinski has loaned himself $900 so far. One of his donors is Margaret Bradbury, wife of former Mayor Cecil Bradbury and mother of Mayor-elect Sandy Bradbury. Margaret Bradbury donated $25.

The election is March 13.
